Biography
Dr. Villacreses is a physician-scientist interested in small airway diseases of the lung. Small airways of the lung are considered the silent zone of the lungs as they confer minimal to no airflow resistance. To become detectable by lung function tests, more than 75% of the surface area of the small airways need to be compromised. His research is focused in finding novel methodologies for early detection and treatment of small airway diseases.
