Dr. John F. Engelhardt research focuses on the molecular basis of CF and the development of gene therapies for the disease. Notably, Dr. Engelhardt's laboratory was the first to clone ferrets, creating new animal models that have enhanced the study of CF pathologies and potential treatments.

The Department of Biology’s seminar speaker on Friday, Oct. 3, at 3:30pm is Erin Davies, a Stadtman Investigator at the National Cancer Institute, National Institutes of Health (NIH). Her seminar will be held in Kollros Auditorium (Room 101), Biology Building East (BBE). Tina Tootle is the faculty host. A reception with refreshments will be held in the BBE Lobby following the seminar.
